The minidresses, the makeup, the stilettos: Kristen Stewart has looked red hot as she’s traveled the world to promote The Twilight Saga: Eclipse—and now the young star has brand new auburn strands to match. “She’s preparing to play Mary Lou, a very famous character in On the Road, and we went through tons of images to pull inspiration,” Frederic Fekkai stylist Adir Abergel, who works with the star, told us. “We really wanted a beautiful strawberry with honey undertones.” How did they bring their vision to life? A trip to colorist extraordinaire Marie Robinson, who was also responsible for Michelle William’s showstopping blond crop. “Marie is a genius,” Abergel told us. “She totally nailed it.” On the Road is set to release sometime in 2011, but Stewart debuted the new shade for an appearance yesterday on The Late Show with David Letterman. We’re absolutely smitten with the look. What do you think? Tell us in the comments section below.
The films also created three insanely popular movie stars: Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. Pattinson makes his debut on the Forbes Celebrity 100 this year in 50th place with $17 million in earnings. Most of that is from the Twilight films where he plays vampire Edward Cullen. But Pattinson also starred in the film Remember Me, which was a modest success at the box office, and he’ll appear in the film adaptation of Water for Elephants opposite Reese Witherspoon in 2011.
Kristen Stewart, who plays Bella Swan, also debuts on the list this year. Because Stewart has fewer non-Twilight projects than Pattinson (her only other recent work was in the tiny film The Runaways where she starred as Joan Jett) she earned $12 million between June 2009 and June 2010, ranking 66th on our list.
Both stars were paid relatively little for their initial work on the films but they have become indispensable to the Twilight franchise. That means they can both ask for pay raises for upcoming movies. The final book, Breaking Dawn, will be split into two films, which will give Stewart and Pattinson the opportunity to double their upfront pay for their final Twilight work.

Twilight and Sex and the City have something big in common – and it’s more than just the fact they’re box-office blockbusters.
Sarah Jessica Parker’s on-screen ex, John Corbett, co-starred with Kristen Stewart in the 2007 horror flick The Messengers – and he still stays in touch with the actress and her family.
So did he have any inkling that Stewart, 20, would become household name? “I thought Kristen was a rockin’ actress back then, but you never know anyone’s going to be a phenomenon when you’re working with them – especially at that age,” he tells PEOPLE.
Bizarre Heights of FameThe actor says Stewart’s overnight rise to fame has not been an easy adjustment for her family.
“I saw Kristen’s dad John, and we were talking about this phenomenon she has become, and quite frankly what a pain in the ass it is for her, too,” says Corbett, 49. “I think ‘bizarre’ is the word to describe how Kristen’s dad feels. It’s his little girl, and I think he feels very protective over her. I’m not putting words in John’s mouth, but it’s not natural to have your kid be the subject of so much attention – wanted and unwanted.”
Meanwhile, Corbett has his own career to focus on. Aside from just wrapping the second season of Showtime’s United States of Tara, he’s reflecting on the outcome of SATC2. “I was a little dismayed that critics treated it so harshly,” he says. “It’s hurtful to hear people put it down for what I feel is an unfair reason. I’ve been in a lot of movies, and I know when I’ve been in one that’s not that good. This isn’t one of those.”
In fact, Corbett believes that despite the film’s poor reviews, the franchise will continue. “I think they’ll make another Sex and the City movie,” he says. “It’s all about commerce, and if the studio makes some money, they’ll say, ‘Okay, let’s try this again.’ I think they’ll try it again and again until it just doesn’t look like a winning proposition.”
So What About RPattz…?Getting back to Stewart, Corbett says he regrets not chatting with her dad about – who else? – Robert Pattinson.
“That’s the one thing I should have asked him about, but we didn’t get that far,” Corbett said. “If he and Kristen really are dating, I think they’d be a good match. They seem like two really sweet youngsters. Kristen was beautiful back when I worked with her, and I knew she would blossom into a beautiful woman.”

Kristen Stewart’s Perfect Apology
Click here for my comments earlier this week about Kristen’s Stewart’s rape remark in Elle UK. I compared her asstalking to Megan Fox’s – a symptom of celebrity narcissism and youthful righteousness. Stewart has now issued an apology via People.com and here’s where her behaviour is admirably different from Fox’s. When Stewart f-cks up, she knows how to properly atone:
“I really made an enormous mistake – clearly and obviously. And I’m really sorry about my choice of words.”
It’s a good apology. A sincere apology. It doesn’t come built in with excuses. It doesn’t lash out to deflect at others. It doesn’t attempt to justify. It is, simply, Remorse and Contrition. And ownership. And accountability. Attributes that are too often absent from the emotional range of young stars. At just 20 years old, Kristen Stewart is expected to make mistakes. They will all make mistakes. It’s how she owns it that will set her apart. As I noted the other day:
She’s much smarter than this. So I have full confidence that when she steps of the bubble post Bella Swan, she’ll probably wake up to it.
Well we didn’t have to wait. Girlcrush is fully restored.
Am attaching photos of Kristen Stewart from her appearance on Oprah last month because I loved her hair that day and under that flattering Oprah lighting and camera work, it was extra extra gorgessity.
PS. I’d not watched that particular TwiHard episode of Oprah but Lo made me sit through the “mom” scene last night. Jesus Christ, WHY would you allow yourself to be seen by millions with your loser basement filled with Edward blankets and pillows???
She Plays: Bella Swan, the teenage girl lucky enough to win the affections of sexy vampire Edward Cullen.
Where Else You’ve Seen Her: As Joan Jett in ‘The Runaways’ and in the other ‘Twilight’ saga movies.
Why She’s Hot: Kristen doesn’t fit the textbook “hot Hollywood actress” template, and that’s what makes her so attractive — and it’s probably the reason Edward and Jacob continually fight over her in ‘Eclipse.’ She’s subtle, not overly flashy or flirty, and has a dark, slightly sourpuss edge to her. Plus, if you saw ‘Adventureland,’ you no doubt have a crush on her like we do.
